Consulado da Mulher Institute Indicators

Starting in 2009, the Consulado da Mulher directs its assistance actions towards solidarity enterprises
and no longer towards holding free workshops for improving women’s relations and self-esteem.

This adjustment in focus, which began in previous years, resulted in direct impact not only on the number
of people benefited by the initiative, but also on the quality of results and direct and indirect impacts of the actions.

Definitions

Women benefited directly

Women who participated in activities offered by Consulado da Mulher or are part of the Institute’s assisted enterprises.

People benefited indirectly (children and family members)

Estimate of people benefited indirectly by income generation and development of new
capacities and knowledge generated by assisted enterprise participants.

People generating income
Total number of participants in all Consulado da Mulher Institute assisted enterprises who recorded income in their activities.
